Chitosan-Tripolyphosphate Nanoparticles of Mango Ginger (Curcuma mangga) Extract: Phytochemical Screening, Formulation, Characterization, and Antioxidant Activity

Introduction: Mango ginger (Curcuma mangga) is one of Indonesia's medicinal plants widely used in most communities as a lust booster and for detoxifying purposes. Therefore, the purpose this study to synthesize chitosan-tripolyphosphate nanoparticles from mango extract, determine their chemical contents, nano chitosan characteristics, its antioxidant activity. Methods: In study, we macerated using 70% ethanol solvent, then performed phytochemical test formulation extract. The group secondary metabolites that showed positive results with reagent was further identified through TLC. Results: extract contained flavonoids triterpenoids. Also, characterization conducted FTIR test, PSA, XRD, SEM. Based on results, particle size 993 nm examination presence N-H P=O groups, indicating ammonium ion interaction polyanion TPP ginger. Additionally, XRD crystals formed were an amorphous form, which supported by morphology images Furthermore, very strong activity based reaction DPPH. Conclusion: these identification flavonoid triterpenoid compounds. addition, nanoparticles, illustrating synthesis successful. has IC50 value 18.08 μg/mL.
